The Neil Scott Johnson Band plays their own distinctive brand of “high energy country music”, and have a well-earned reputation as one of the hottest acts in the Northeast. Originating out of New York City, they were named “Band Of The Year” six years in a row by the New York Metropolitan Country Music Association. Wherever they play, there is strong audience response and calls for return engagements. They have opened shows for many major artists, including Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Brooks & Dunn. The band has released 2 independent CDs, and has recently been in Nashville working in the studio on a new recording project with respected session player and producer Dave Pomeroy The resulting tracks have translated the energy, sincerity, and humor of the band’s stage performance onto disc.
